Where’s the best location to shoot an engagement photography session!?
A. At The R2 Studio in Flagstaff, Arizona.
B. Hiding behind bushes, while the proposal is happening!
C. The spot where the couple first met.
D. Anywhere works, as long as it’s out in nature!
If you’re planning a proposal, you’re newly engaged, or you happen to be a fellow photographer, this question has probably been on your mind lately. Lucky for you, we have the answer (drumroll, please!).
Okay, okay… So all of these options can be the correct answer for a successful engagement photography session. The best answer, however, will often vary from couple to couple. For Darcie and Ken, all signs pointed to option ‘C’! So we packed our bags and hit the road from Flagstaff, Arizona, to Las Vegas, Nevada.
We met up with the pair in Fremont Street, a popular, entertainment-filled district. Along these vibrant streets is where Darcie and Ken first met. Darcie was only visiting Las Vegas at the time, but the two hit it off and began dating long distance. Three years later, the two are now living together in Las Vegas and have a wedding to plan for September 2018!
In contrast to the hyper energy that’s often associated with the place these two first met, Ken described Darcie and himself as an incredibly relaxed, laid-back couple. In fact, his idea of a perfect day would be for them to sleep in, go get massages, and then catch a show on the Las Vegas Strip together. Sounds relaxing to us! He added that he loves how Darcie is understanding, loving, and the fact that they never fight. Darcie wanted all of these characteristics to show through in the pictures. We made sure to capture their genuine body language and authentic eye contact during the engagement photography session.
We had so much fun photographing Darcie and Ken. Congratulations and good luck with the wedding planning!
