Jenn & Spencer along with less than 10 of their family members ventured down to AZ from Canada for their elopement style wedding at Copperwynd Resort in Fountain Hills, AZ. We had the most amazing time with these two incredibly special people and their family on their wedding day. We absolutely the intimacy that is signature to an elopement style wedding. Everyone is always genuinely excited about the day and the events that will unfold. There is no drama and no disputing what should or shouldn’t be done. It’s always about the couple and their love for each other. This was 100% true of Jenn and Spencer’s elopement style wedding at the Copperwynd Resort.
All of Jenn’s family got ready at a large home nearby while Spencer and his family took advantage of the hotel rooms. Jenn had requested doing a first look with her dad before seeing Spencer. That particular moment was priceless! All of their guests gathered on a grassy lawn that had a gorgeous view of Fountain Hills below. Right as Jenn was getting ready to walk down the aisle Spencer looked down and noticed that his jacket buttons were incorrectly buttoned and quickly fixed it just in time for Jenn’s dad to hand her off.
Their cocktail hour was one of my favorite parts of the day. For Jenn’s dance with her father, Spencer and Jenn’s sister serenaded them, which was a wonderful surprise and so sweet. Spencer is a musician back at home so it was really great that he got to include a piece of that into their day and make it extra special and meaningful for everyone. During the toasts, they brought out a Stanley Cup replica (those Canadians and their hockey!) and everyone, including grandma, took a drink of champagne from the ginormous silver cup. It was hilarious.
The day after their wedding we took Jenn and Spencer to a spot out in the desert that we had scouted out the day before and snagged some really great shots of them complete with all types of cacti, which made the perfect souvenir from their elopement style wedding in Arizona. Enjoy!
