A maternity session is such a fun time for family here at The R2 Studio! While we weren’t in our studio for this session necessarily, telling family stories while celebrating a new addition is always one of our favorite things to do! This particular Maternity Session brought us to just outside Flagstaff with Lindsey and Twyla. Read on to see their unique portraits and to learn a little more about this amazing family.
Lindsey and her wife Twyla reside in Tuba city. Lindsey works in the nursing field and is an only child. Needless to say, her parents are SO excited for a grandchild! Lindsey is pregnant by sperm donor and this is her 5th time trying to get pregnant. We cannot imagine the struggle they’ve been through but now they’re absolutely ecstatic to bring a baby boy into the world! She and Twyla have been married for 3 years and the bond between them is stronger than ever!
For this Maternity Session, they wanted something pretty classic, but with a little twist! Therefore, a desert maternity session was born! They had always been a fan of this little place outside of Flagstaff with amazing graffiti and murals. They were also very passionate about having our famous peaks in the background! Robin had so much fun on location with these two. Lindsey and Twyla wanted to include the sunset and we think Robin got some amazing portraits in that specific light. We absolutely love to put your spin on whatever portrait session you have planned. Our sessions are all about telling your story and being a reflection of you and what you’re celebrating.

This isn’t the last time you’ll be hearing about Lindsey and Twyla! We we actually be a part of their birth story and their babies first few days as part of their family.
